Whether music or sport are your thing, or in fact both, there is a great mixture of entertainment this weekend in Coffs and nearby.

For music lovers, firstly at the Jetty Memorial Theatre, there are two great shows on Saturday and Sunday.  The sold-out “Roy Orbison Story” will light up the stage on Saturday April 12th, celebrating the iconic musician’s life and his timeless hits.

On Sunday April 13th, you can back up for “The Sweet Caroline Tour: A Tribute to Neil Diamond,” bringing another beloved legend’s music to life.

But if a sport/music mix is your preferred night out, at the Hoey Moey on Saturday evening, the ever-popular “Tins of Glory” beer sports tournament kicks off at 6:00 PM, followed by a high-  energy afterparty with POOLCLVB and DJ Ruby J spinning into the night.

Meanwhile, in nearby Bellingen, on Sunday afternoon April 13th, the Memorial Hall will present “Bridging Generations: The Helfgott Legacy” - a moving concert featuring renowned pianist David Helfgott OAM in a celebration of musical heritage and artistry.

For sports lovers, in particular rugby fans, the  highlight of the Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby is the exciting international clash between the Australian Wallaby Under 20s and Japan Under 23s, being played tomorrow evening, Friday April 11th.  Gates open at the Coffs International Stadium at 4.30pm with kick-off at 5.30pm.  This is a free event and a great opportunity to see some of our country's young talent.
