Last Saturday 10th August saw the opening of an exciting new exhibition on the Coffs Coast – the National Holden Motor Museum. With 25 historic Holdens on display, along with other significant memorabilia and artefacts, as well as a cinema section, locals and particularly car enthusiasts will be in their element.
The exhibit covers the entire top floor of the Bunker Gallery and includes a 48-215 sedan – the first Holden model produced when the brand started making its own cars in 1948.
Local car dealership owner – and former Holden dealer – Geoff King has provided the vehicles, which came from the previous iteration of the National Holden Motor Museum (NHMM) – based in Echuca, 230km north of Melbourne, Victoria – which closed in April 2024 after more than four decades.
Volunteers are welcome to put their hand up as the museum is always on the lookout for help.
