$25,000 Homebuilder Grant Stimulates Coffs Coast

Thursday 25 Jun 2020

With the announcement of the $25,000 Homebuilder grant last week we have seen many buyers move quickly to purchase any land that is registered or that will be registered before the end of 2020.

This registration timing is one of the strict requirements for otherwise eligible purchasers to achieve the one-off $25,000 Homebuilder grant.

At present across the Coffs Coast there is a shortage of land that meets this timing criteria.

Two estates that still have eligible stock are Woopi Beach Estate just south of Woolgoolga and Forest Heights Estate just around the corner from Nambucca village.

As a result, just last week, Woopi Beach Estate commenced 8 new sales and Forest Heights Estate commenced 3 new sales.

This stimulus is great news for the Coffs Coast economy as these land sales will result in an injection of approximately $3.3 million into the local building industry, based on an average house build of $300,000 each.

Due to the timing of the Homebuilder grant this injection will begin to flow into the local economy in the first quarter of 2021.

Woopi Beach Estate has also today released early its next stage on Woopi Drive due to the sudden increase in demand.

If last weeks new activity is any indication, the remaining blocks in these two estates will not be available for long.
